Heat pumps are a mechanical system that can help to heat and cool our houses and other buildings at a much more efficient rate. They are sustainable, requiring actually no fuels at all. We are generally more accustomed to seeing traditional gas fueled furnaces and air conditioning systems regulating the temperatures of our buildings. While heat pumps work well all on their own in many cases, the installation of a heat pump to work in tandem with an air conditioner or furnace can help to take the workload (and our dependence) off of traditional heating systems.
